Anker Soundcore Life Q20 Review 2020 – Bluetooth Headphone With Active Noise Cancellation
These headsets have an active noise cancellation system that helps remove ambient noise. Whether it’s because children scream, aircraft engines, or other annoying sounds that you want to get rid of, you can focus only on your music with Q20.
You will also get Hi-Res Audio with a large specially designed 40mm driver that produces exceptional sound. High frequencies can reach up to 40 kHz, and headphones have BassUp technology that can really make those lower frequencies pound. It actually analyzes sound in real-time to instantly amplify the bass output so you can feel it in your chest. Simply press the play button twice to activate it.
On top of this, Anker’s headphones still last for up to 40 hours. That’s with Bluetooth and active hybrid noise removal activated. The Q20 uses Bluetooth 5.0 technology so you won’t see any latency in your Bluetooth streaming, but they come with a 3.5mm aux cable so you can plug it in when you need to. That helps save battery life, and you can extend the charging life to 60 hours if you install and turn off the ANC.

Anker SoundCore Life Q20 Most Comfortable Headphones – Design
It’s black. Utilitarian. Simple, and most comfortable headphones.
On the side of the earlobe, you will find a few buttons. Some of them allow you to adjust the volume and control playback. Another side of the earcup let you turn on the ANC. Others function as a power button and allow you to pair headphones to a smartphone or tablet.
At the bottom of the headphones, there is a MicroUSB port for charging and a 3.5mm socket. The earcup is framed with soft memory foam to let the most comfortable headphones to wear for a long time. During my test period, I used it non-stop for 10 days of my typical work. They do not feel hot or sweaty.
They come with tote bags of delicate material, rather than protective shell cases that usually come with other more expensive SoundCore products, such as the excellent Soundcore Space NC 2018.
This is not a problem for me. The soft case is smaller, which is ideal considering the amount I traveled. They make it easier to push headphones into a backpack or bag.
It helps that I am not too worried about breaking SoundCore Life Q20. The glass is wrapped in a thick plastic shell that has proven to be quite resistant to falling, while the hinges feel sturdy and strong.
Anker SoundCore Life Q20 Review – Sound

The Active Q20 active noise reduction headphones replicate your music with high frequency stretched to 40 kHz for excellent clarity and detail.
Anker Soundcore Life Q20 also provides 100% Strong Bass, Anker’s exclusive Bass Up technology performs real-time analysis of low frequencies to instantly amplify the bass output. Double-press on the play button when you want to listen to heavy-bass genres such as EDM and hip-hop for a greater listening experience.
Life Q20 Review – Performance
Anker praised Soundcore Life Q20 for having 40 hours of battery life. This, of course, provided you do not constantly use ANC noise cancellation, which can sharply reduce durability. In my tests, this estimate fits reality. This makes it an ideal choice for road warriors who spend hours on trains and planes.
Noise cancellation, though not on par with more expensive devices such as the respectable Sony WH-1000XM3 or Jabra Elite 85h, is still very good, and is competent at filtering out distracting outside audio. This is more than a match even for the noisiest jet engines or the high-pitched exhaust.
Soundcore Life Q20 comes with an internal microphone, which allows you to make and receive phone calls, and talk to the voice assistant of your choice.
I use this to make several voice calls, and there is rarely a problem to understand. That said, my luck fared better when speaking from a quieter environment, like my headquarters.
Good sound performance. As with almost all Soundcore headphones, it has a sound profile that emphasizes low notes. This added advantage to bass-heavy tracks such as “Bad Guy” Billy Eilish, which was dominated by pounding basslines.

Anker Soundcore Life Q20 Hybrid Active Noise Cancelling Headphones – Verdict
With thought-provoking sound, comfort, and a long-lasting battery, Anker SoundCore Life Q20 makes it one of the most economical Bluetooth headsets at affordable prices that we have tested.
Active noise cancellation cancels the deal, although we are not happy with the poor headset sound over the cable connection. The dominant BassUp mode, meanwhile, is the best.
Frankly, you shouldn’t expect more from mid-range Bluetooth headphones – especially the set that proves active noise cancellation – but the Anker Soundcore Life Q20 Bluetooth Headphones surprised us with their enhanced voice, true to life and suitable for comfort. which allows for long-term listening sessions.
Active noise cancellation does a proper job of low range engine and separate background noise, and we are also happy with the headset’s battery life.
